An old friend of mine - a professional photographer in Berkshire - once told me to make sure that I go on vacation, and not just my camera. I suppose his point was to be in the moment, without worrying too much about taking a picture of everything I see. After all, I wouldn't want to miss actually experiencing the beautiful things I photographically document. Still, I'm glad I just got a new camera for my upcoming trip abroad. I will be gone for more than three months, so I will be glad to have a visual way to remember the fun times I will have. I have been abroad twice before, and both times I wish I had taken more pictures. I will always have my camera with me this time around, whether I am walking around London or traveling more wildly in Western Europe. Some of my favorite pictures from past trips are from days filled with the best memories. I hope to makeand photographmany more this time around. |
